The Dead Zone and The Closer both premiered this week with a bang just like last weeks premier of Rescue Me!
Just like the method we discussed with reoccurring storylines with CSI and Nip/Tuck, The Dead Zone has used this method throughout the entire show with their upcoming apocalypse scenario with character Congressman (now Vice President) Greg Stillson. Now this storyline was made easy as this show is based off of the hit book by Stephen King: The Dead Zone which uses much of the same storyline.
With this years season premier The Dead Zone seem to be straying more and more away from the book's storyline, as Johnny no longer sees his apocalypse visions when he touches the new Vice President Greg Stillson. They seem to be implying Stillson's assistant and crony was the one to blame, whom was killed in a scuffle with Rev. Gene Purdy.
The Dead Zone made another drastic and daring move by killing off popular character Walt Bannerman. Johnny had numerous visions of his death, and was able to avoid a few of these close calls, but by doing so he then saw the death of Rev. Gene Purdy to which Johnny enlisted the help of Walt to save. Walt managed to save Purdy from a fire, only to get trapped in it himself.
This leaves open a couple of questions...will Johnny and Sarah get back together with Walt out of the picture? Find out! Watch The Dead Zone!
