Rescue Me Premiered last night with a bang! Check back tomorrow to see more on this premier! While we wait for the premier of Dead Zone on Sunday and The Closer on Monday let's continue discussing CSI.
Two reoccurring storylines took place throughout this last season of CSI. Each storyline popped up here and there between various episodes and tied the whole season together. The Miniature Killer storyline started on the season premier last year, and though out the season kept popping up in between their regular episodes. Another such storyline was the romance between the CSI's main investigator Grissom and his subordinate Sara Siddle. These two storylines ended up colliding on the season finale when the Miniature Killer wanted to personally attack CSI Grissom and ends up kidnapping Sara and placing her in the next crime scene miniature.
This technique of having reoccurring storylines is a great idea for TV shows as it keeps shows from becoming stale and predicable with the same thing happening each week. Like CSI a few other shows have used this technique before including Nip/Tuck in their second and third season. Dr. McNamara and Dr. Troy face off with a sadistic masked serial killer who pops up here and there carving the faces of his victims, which these plastic surgeons helped fix.
